South Shore report

Mud Trolling

The mud bite has slowed in recent days, and fish seem to be scattered.  The best method continues to be harnesses trolled deep in the water column. Shad type baits also working, at faster speeds.  Metallic colored Hot ‘n tots are producing walleyes.  No color preference established in general.

Lakeside West:

A good perch bite is firing up north of the last buoy out of the lakeside west launch.  The entire area is producing perch of various sizes.  Top producing method is either a dead stick or slip bobber within a few inches of the bottom.  Meal worms, waxies and other small baits being the ticket.

3rd Reef:

Perch are also showing up in this region, along with walleye, catfish, sheephead, large/small/white/rock bass, and occasional pan fish.  Slip bobbers with crawler is the most popular method.
