Fisherman’s road

Heavy activity north of the launch about ½ mile.  Reports of nice sized walleyes being taken on slip bobbers and crawlers with jigs.  Some reports also of this area producing perch on very still presentations (dead sticks or slips tight to the bottom).  Mud trolling had been hit and miss, much related to the weather.  No specific color or style working best

Supple’s marsh area

Several reports of this area producing eyes on or near the emerging weed beds.  Drifting slips up to the weed bed edge have been the ticket. Casting Hot and Tots or other fat bodied baits also were producing fish. Both leeches and crawler working equally as well.

Columbia park area

Some strong activity in the mud trolling early in the week south of the launch.  Several fishermen reporting a nice school of fish in the area.  Friday’s reports indicated the fish had moved and the trolling bite was then soft.  The areas reefs produced inconsistently over the weekend, main method was on slips with crawlers.  Some had good success, while others came home with empty live wells.

Artificial reefs

Some of the man made spawning reefs outside the lighthouse in FDL is producing walleye with slip bobber set ups.  Fish have generally been on the small size.  Perch are also in the area.  Dead sticks are also effective.
