Fisherman’s road:  Decent sized walleyes are being taken on the area humps north of the launch.  You must move often to find the active fish.  Leeches were the hot bait this week, either under the slip bobber or on a jigged retrieve.  Some boats are drift jigging to the same result.

Trolling:  Trolling remained slow through out this area, especially in deeper waters.  Blue and silver baits produced the better fish. Crawler harness are also been used with limited success.  Copper colored hatchet blades being best.

East shore line.  The walleye bite continues close to shore in the post dusk time frame.  Many shore fisherman casting cranks and using slip bobbers.

FDL River:  The white bass run, much anticipated, has not kicked up yet.  Some warm rain may be the trigger needed to get this annual rite of passage under way.  The Lilacs are in bloom!

Long Point area:  Continued success with walleyes being taken with horizontal jig methods.

Third Reef:  no reports
