Great to see the huge number of people fishing the system his weekend!

Lake Winnebago is completely open in all areas and free from any ice.  Floating debris is all over the lake, so be careful.  The lake had water temperatures in the bays up to 54 degrees on Sunday, with the main lake at 48 degrees.

Stony Point was producing large white bass, and averaged sized walleyes.  The walleyes are tight to the shore, and are being taken on crawlers.  Leeches worked well for the white bass.

Other reefs are also producing around the mouth of the Fox River, but activities seem to decrease the farther away you get away from the mouth.  There are walleyes biting at the mouth of the river.

The east side is starting to have walleyes showing up at dusk.

The Fox River maintains a very strong current again this week.  Fish seem to be stacked around the bridges in slack water areas/low current areas.  Minnows are still the bait of choice in the river, with Wolf River set ups working better than jigging.  Orange was reported as being a very productive color.  The shore line areas in Oshkosh near downtown are also producing fish, but tend to be crowded on nice days.  Perch are becoming active in and around the Rainbow Park area.

The feeder creeks and lagoons along Hwy 45 on the west shore are crowded, and pan fish are being caught.

The Wolf River at Winneconne is giving up walleyes.  Many of these fish are spawned out and heading back down the river.  White bass are also being caught on a regular basis.  Trolling Lake Winneconne and Lake Poygan should become very successful over the next 10 days, as the fish return down the river and have the feed bags on.
