Another week of seasonal temps entrenched the area this week.  Lake Winnebago and all connected lakes and rivers remain ice free and are suitable for boat traffic.

Very little boat activity remains on the main lake, and reports are scarce.  Some shore fishing is occurring, especially around Fond du Lac.  Both the Fond du Lac River and Lakeside Park are producing White Bass in large sizes (12” plus).  Perch are also present and active, but are running on the small side.

The Wolf River is still doing well for all fish.  The White Bass continue to be here in good numbers.  Three way rigs or pumping flies with a minnow is most productive.  Crappies and large gills are commonly found near downed wood, or other objects withhold heat, especially in the New London Area.  Walleye reports indicate excellent size on many of the fish caught just north of Lake Poygan.

More reports as conditions change.  Be sure to email your reports to me at [email protected] or leave it on our Fourm.
