OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ) – Law enforcement is investigating at least two thefts from ice fishing shanties on Lake Winnebago.
Winnebago County Sheriff’s officials say the shanties were near the Merritt Avenue landing in Oshkosh and took place between Tuesday and Thursday.
One of the shanties was broken into, with thieves stealing a box with less than $400 in it, a TV and a few propane tanks.
Ice fishermen are reminded not to keep valuables in their shanties, even if they are locked up.
