John Walters and Shawn Roeseler took the Fisherman’s Road Club Championship on Saturday. This tournament feature a 6 fish limit; however, Walters and Roeseler only needed 5 fish. Winning weight was 17.21 pounds which edged out the second place finishers of Rick Stoegbauer and Kevin Steffes who weighed in 6 fish at 16.24 pounds.
The two largest walleyes register were by Stoegbauer/Steffes (22 ¾” 5.40 pounds) and Gary/Kelvin Sabel with a 24” 5.17 lbs walleye.
38 teams participated in this event. 6 teams had zero fish (16%). 7 teams registered 5 or 6 fish (18%).
The Oakfield Conservation club also held a Walleye tournament. The winning weigh came in at 19.19 pounds.
