GREEN BAY — The National Weather Service in Green Bay is offering a special new forecast.
It will specifically cover Lake Winnebago and is designed to let boaters and swimmers know about current wind and wave conditions. Organizers with the project say it’s something people have been asking for and they hope it will improve safety out on the water.
“If the lake is too rough, some of the small boaters won’t be able to go out there, they might get in trouble. This ywa, they could get an idea of what’s expected,” says Teri Egger, a senior Forecaster with the National Weather Service.
