A major cold front moved in Eastern Wisconsin on day two of the MWC in Oshkosh WI sending the contestants scrambling to change methods and locations from the excellent Day one conditions.

On day one, Hughes and Jacobson took the lead with a 23.13 pound 5 walleye bag.  They struggled on day two, bringing 16.9 pounds of fish to the scales to hold off all other challengers to win the tournament.   Joe Robl and Greg Golliher took second place with a total weight of 35.05 pounds, about 5 pounds behind the leaders.

Speaking with Jimmy Hughes after day one, he said they had a solid bite working on the main lake.

The tournament featured a live release rate at 99%.  A specialized pontoon boat was brought into the tournament, which featured a large holding tank with oxygen enriched water.  This allowed the fish to recuperate, prior to release.  In addition cooler temperatures helped boost the survival rate of the walleyes.

Average weight for the walleyes caught during the event was 2.92 pounds, or approximately 20 inches.
