There is not a lot information as of yet, but Jim Coon passed away yesterday. He was 66 years old.
Jim was known by many area anglers as the Director of the Midwest Walleye Series and one of the main organizers of the Mercury National Walleye Tournament. He was also an active member of Walleyes for Tomorrow, along with other organizations.
Jim, whom had been hospitalized recently, returned to his home a few days ago, where he then suffered a heart attack and was re-hospitalized. Funeral arrangement are still pending.
