Fond du Lac high School won the Wisconsin State Championship for team ice fishing on Saturday Feb 22, 2014.  The event was held in Van Dyne, Wisconsin on Lake Winnebago.  The winning team, which weighs its best ten fish of the day, came to the scales with over 26 pounds of eel pout, separating themselves from the rest of the field.

The Fond du Lac team told the crowd that they caught the eel pout near Wendt’s using Jigging Rapalas and wax worms.  For their efforts they were rewarded with a brand new auger donated by Jiffy.

In second place was New Holstein High School.  North Fond du Lac took third place.  Both teams earned HT augers, donated by HT Enterprises of Campbellsport.
