Update in Oshkosh. It appears multiple vehicles broke through the ice this morning. One vehicle needed the rescue crew to recover the individuals. At the scene, a child and adult were taken to the hospital. The child was in much better shape than the adult, who presumably died. The ice shifted with the high winds and opened one of the east-west cracks. Nothing here is official or confirmed yet.

Merritt Street access point is closed, and most anglers have left the ice in Oshkosh. The second vehicle had a flat tire and some scared anglers. Rescue attempts are ongoing, looking for possible additional persons in the water.

There is currently an Ice Rescue underway near Menomoniee Park in Oshkosh.  Details are limited at this time, but look for updates on the page later today.  The term rescue indicates they are searching for an individual or persons..
